New Single “Damn Drunk” with Special Guest Kix Brooks

Country legend and GRAMMY-Award winner Ronnie Dunn offers up “Damn Drunk” today, with special guest and longtime collaborator Kix Brooks, the other half of the most successful Country duo in history, Brooks & Dunn. Get it here. The highly anticipated new single, produced by Grammy Award winning artist/producer Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, follows to his Big Machine Label Group debut “Ain’t No Trucks in Texas.” In conjunction with the release, a stunning music video also premiered exclusively on Vevo. Watch here.

“This is one of those tunes that I immediately gravitated to,” stated Dunn. “I listened to hundreds of songs while writing a few myself. Jay and I took it into the studio and it went to another level. Witnessing a song do that is magic. It is one of the most gratifying dynamics of music for me. Thanks to Kix, my long time compadre in crime for joining in on the fun.”

Showcasing Dunn’s iconic voice, “Damn Drunk” is a reminder of why he is a 28-time ACM Award winner and 26-time chart-topping superstar. Written by Liz Hengber, Alex Kline and Ben Stannis, the stirring chorus rings “If you were on the other side of the world / I’d spin that thing right back around just to get to you, girl / I love the way you always go and mess me up / If you were a whiskey girl, I’d be a damn drunk.”

Taillight TV director TK McKamy captured scenes across the gorgeous desert backdrop outside of Sante Fe, New Mexico. The powerful video is reminiscent of Dunn himself as it paints a beautiful landscape for one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

Earlier this year, good friend Reba McEntire honored Dunn alongside Brooks, with the Nash Icon Award at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards in Los Angeles. The trio has been enjoying their sold out Las Vegas residency REBA, BROOKS & DUNN: Together in Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace and have added more dates well into 2017 due to popular demand. With nine Platinum-selling albums under his belt, Dunn’s first album from Big Machine Label Group is due out later this fall. For more information and dates, visit RonnieDunn.com
